Credit for Prior Learning: Purdue Global does not guarantee transferability of credit from any source. Testing option may not apply to all courses. Credit for work experience and military training does not apply to graduate programs. See the University Catalog for the Prior Learning policy.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): At this time, residents of the following states and territories may not enroll in this program: Hawaii, Louisiana, New York, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Guam, and Virgin Islands. In addition, international students are not eligible to enroll in this program.

Employment, Career Advancement, and Professional Licensing: Purdue Global does not guarantee employment placement or career advancement. Actual outcomes vary by geographic area, previous work experience, and opportunities for employment. Prior experience may be necessary for leadership positions. Graduates of a nurse practitioner program who pass the relevant certification exam may be academically eligible for licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse in any state in which the program is available for enrollment. Licensure-track programs may limit enrollment to students in certain states; please refer to Licensure.PurdueGlobal.edu for additional information on licensure, state authorizations, and program availability. The University cannot guarantee students will be eligible to sit for or pass exams.

APRN Certification: Please note that most states require nurses to be nationally certified and to have completed an accredited graduate nursing program in order to obtain licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse. Each national certification provider and state Board of Nursing will have eligibility requirements in addition to these educational requirements, such as passing a criminal background check. Students are responsible for determining whether they are eligible for state Board of Nursing approval and certification as an advanced practice registered nurse in their state. Students can obtain additional information from their state's Board of Nursing, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).

ExcelTrack®: ExcelTrack® is designed to advance your progress based on existing knowledge; however, degree pace and time and cost savings will vary by individual. Students must enroll in a minimum number of credits per term to remain eligible for financial aid. Refer to the Financial Information section of the University Catalog for additional information. Enrollees will pay a per-term resource fee and program-specific fees. MSN and certificate programs include traditional clinical and final project courses; tuition for these courses is charged at the standard per-credit rate.

Financial Aid: Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Financial aid awards vary depending on individual student eligibility and need.

Future Degrees: The University cannot guarantee that students will be granted admission to any future programs.

State Requirements: Residents of TN may not enroll in the MSN program. Residents of the following states and territories may not enroll in the nurse practitioner population focus areas: HI, LA, NY, OR, UT, Guam, Puerto Rico. In addition, residents of DC or WA may not enroll in the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner population focus area or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner focus area. Some pathways are not available to international students.
